Indian Chai Tea Latte
(Makes 4 servings)
This tastes a lot like the chai lattes at Starbucks!
You can also use decaf green or black tea if you tolerate that well.
Ingredients:
2 cups water
4 bags red (Rooibis) tea
2 cups soy or rice milk
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1. Heat water to boiling.
2. Add tea bags; reduce heat.
3. Simmer 2 minutes.
4. Remove tea bags.
5. Stir in remaining ingredients.
6. Heat to boiling.
7. Stir with wire whisk to foam milk.
8. Pour into cups.
Variation: To make this into a smoothie, refrigerate it until cold.
Then pour it into a blender container, add 1 cup crushed ice, and blend
it on high until smooth!
